Principal, Security Consultant

Prior to founding Bastion Security Group in 2017, Mr. McComas has designed and advised clients in  security design, technology design, and security management. He previously served on the board of the Detroit chapter of The American Society of Industrial Security and is a member of International Association of Professional Security Consultants and The International Association of Counter Terrorism and Security Professionals.

He currently serves as a Senior Security Manager in critical infrastructure. His duties include managing security officers, developing policies and procedures, working with segment managers in many other departments to facilitate a safe and secure working environment for all employees and visitors.

A major part of his responsibilities is working with federal, state, and local law enforcement to ensure an efficient response to any event that may occur

He has a diverse background in security systems, information, communications, technology, and fire alarm design.

He is board certified in physical security as a Physical Security Professional through ASIS International.

He maintains constant devotion to professional development through attending courses, seminars, and conferences from ASIS, IAPSC, SIA, BICSI, and others.

TJ McComas is a USMC veteran and served as The Engineer Chief for 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion in Afghanistan in support Operation Enduring Freedom.
